i have Brian's approval on how i'm doing, and seeing as he has more experience at this than i have at breathing i'm taking that as a good sign, i even managed to impress him today, by impressing the Grumpy Old Man of the Theater shortly after meeting him

aside from that my day was of the sort that you don't want to ask how it went

i did get to amuse myself by shattering a young, aspiring artist's dreams, i went from one call where i was Lighting Designer to another elsewhere where i was Spot Op and generally everybody's bitch, and i when he asked where i was going and what i was doing i told him and he said "that must be an odd step down for you" and i replied to the tune of no, that's $5 an hour more and i don't have to make decisions or really think, that's how i pay rent kid.

i still don't think he understands that, but fuck it, i don't care just now, if he figures it out good for him, if not bad for me... maybe i should drill it in a little harder...

ok, so life updates, roommates are good, one moving in this week, odd side note about my house, one room downstairs has 1 outlet, the other downstairs has 2, mine upstairs has 2, and the other one has FUCKING 7!!!!!!!!!! go figure

went to a wedding yesterday, dressed up for it(nice skirt, white turtleneck sweater, shoes that aren't boots, and no tools at all, then i promptly went home and put on my ruddy old jeans and my hunting knife and my leathers and handed out candy to small children, some of whom i wanted to smack cuz they were getting grabby with the candy, oh, and i did indeed have to go to work before the wedding, of course

went to work today and had one of the most unproductive days ever, which i wouldn't have minded if it hadn't been out in FUCKING GRESHAM(way far away) 3 hours travel(round trip) 20 minutes productive time

i'm thinking of changing my LJ name, Catie promised to think up good names for me but so far has not delivered so it's up to you, i need a new lj name, the only one i came up with was polythenepam81 which i like but Catie says is horrid

the continuing drama of my home(series scheduled for cancel within a month)

yesterday morning Antonia put up a note that she was leaving, sending a certified letter to the landlord informing him of this, Jason had asked us if we'd want to stay and we very much do, so we're putting through another application(Catie and i together this time, last time it was just me as she wasn't set here yet) and follow up on it like you wouldn't believe, and ask Jason to as well, since he'll probably be the one the landlord picks to actually communicate with now, in any case we're going to try for face to face communication now, since over the phone he can ignore us pretty easily, anyway, this morning we woke up to find antonia had been busy, she'd cleaned her stuff out of the kitchen and taken pretty much everything she had and put it in one place in the living room for easy removal, i managed to get a new microwave from a friend as well as a table for the kitchen(not much, but it'll do) we'll be needing a couch or two, and god knows what else, i've got silverware and dishes(which i'll need to get unpacked quickly) and i'll finally get the chance to decorate some of the house outside of my room, idk what with, but it'll be interesting to see what happens
i don't know if she's staying here or not, i doubt she is, but it looks like she'll be at least working on getting things out and cleaned up till the 15th, so we'll have to start looking for someone soon, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem, it's a great place, we were mostly having to reject people last time we were looking so it should be okay

here's the story, roommates wanted a house meeting, i as cool with that, we found a time that worked best without pushing it back a week and had it, it was to inform me of the situation as follows, with no bullshit and no niceties

the property manager is a worthless prick who can't do his job
Antonia and said prick have been talking about me during which time i've been trying in vain to talk to him
he told her the things he should have told me, she told him god knows what
Jason had a reasonable concern and Antonia latched onto it as a tool to kick Catie and i out
we have till the 15th of october to be gone
Jason came up later and explained that he just wanted to work this out, and if it takes longer than 30 days that's fine, we'll only pay for the time we're actually here, and if Antonia fights him about it she can fuck off

thats the gist of it, i'm still not sure what Sarah thinks of all this, as she had no clue it was happening, so we're looking for a place, if you see anything we'd appreciate passing it on, price range is under $600 a month if we're alone, $400 with roommates, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, i hesitate to put the name of the company and property manager, but if you ask you can have my opinion certainly, and my experience with him has been crap, Antonia loves him, so you can judge for yourself, Jason has no opinion as they've never had any communication aside from the application and rent checks Jason has sent him

i'm looking for an appartment or room in the portland area, preferably close to downtown or in beaverton, close to a busline or max, one bedroom for me and my partner, it needs to be under $600 a month, the lower the better, roommates would be fine as long as they're clean and it's not too crowded, we'd need to move in by the end of october, preferably sooner

about us, queer friendly happy girls, aged 19 and 20, pretty stable, not looking for anything special, just someplace to call home, we like to cook and tend to keep to ourselves most of the time, but are very friendly and sociable once we're comfortable, i work in the theater and she's on a fixed income

any leads help, even if it seems a little out of our way, if it's transit accessable it'll probably be okay

and yes i know that's a generalization, so we'll say it's generalized to... 99% of the population, 99% of all parents screw up their kids.

here's my feedback:
true, all parents screw up their kids, they don't do it intentionally, their intentions are often the best, but regardless of intention they manage to screw up their kids because they are not perfect and they have no experience, and when they get experience only a small portion of it will be good, some will be bad and therefore only tell them what not to do rather than show the correct course, so as much as they try they are very very likely to screw up their kids
this does not mean that their kids can't grow up to be functioning and productive people, they're just screwed up, like everybody else, it's a fact of life

i just spent an hour and a half walking home, first because it seemed like a neat idea, then because i had already gotten that far and then because i was going to finish it goddamnit, never did it cross my head that i had just worked 15 hours on half a meal and the last thing i needed to do was walk home from the convention center

i took this back in february of this year and the only differences were that then i only had a high rating for paranoid and i had a very high rating for borderline, so overall i'm slightly less crazy than i was then, that's good to know

ok, so i've decided to sell my breast forms, since i rly don't need them anymore, and so i thought rather than put them on ebay or something i'd give all my wonderful friends in LJ-land the opportunity to get them, http://www.thebreastformstore.com/breast-forms-store-gold-seal.aspx this is the page i originally got them from, they are very good quality, they're a size 2, so you can check that against the sizing chart on there, but they are fairly small, i have a quite small frame and they give me about a B-cup, mebbe approaching a C, anyway, they're in good condition, with a teeny tiny hole in one, about the size of a pinprick, so you've got to take some extra care with them, but it's been there a little while and not gotten any bigger, i think it was the result of multiple friends molesting them rather hard one night, i'm sure it would be an easy patch if you're familiar with that kind of thing, in any case, here's a picture of them, i'm offering them for $80 if you can pick them up(i'll be in boston till tuesday, portland oregon after that), $85 with shipping, i'll ship anywhere in the US, and perhaps elsewhere if you like tho we may have to discuss any extra cost of shipping then, i've included a picture under the ( cut ) i should also mention that there is some tape buildup on the back, which according to the site is good for them, as you can reuse it a bit, check the site for more information on that, as well as how to remove the tape
